FALL CLASSES 2011

Class Description

Creative Movement 14-23 months

This class is design for the tot and Mom or caregiver. Get your preschooler involved in circle Motor activities. Activities, obstacle courses, marching and traveling thia will be fun as well. Lots of Music.

Pre- Primary I Dancing Darlings (ages 3)
45 minutes class
Three year old will participate in a 45 minute class each week, especially design for little dancers. The class will include approximately 25 minutes of beginning tap 20 minutes of Pre-primary Baby ballet. With the incorporation of many fun props and imaginative music, children will learn a sense of rhythm and coordination as a love for dance in instilled in their lives. As students grow and become increasingly proficient in their study their poise , self -assurance, and confidence will soar!

Pre-Primary II Dancing Stars ( ages 4 )
45 minutes class
Four year old will participate in a 45 minute class each week design for budding young dancers. The class will include approximately 25 minutes of beginning tap to develop gross motor coordination, rhythm and timing . Also included in the class is 20 minutes of Pre-Primary Baby ballet, which introduces students to the fundamentals of classical while developing a love for dance. This class incorporates fun and imaginative props and age appropriate music exercises. As students grow and become increasingly proficient in their study, their poise, self assurance, and confidence will soar!

Combination I (5-6 years old)
45minute
The class will run for 45 minutes. The first half of the class will include 25 minutes of beginning tap to develop gross motor coordination rhythm and timing. Also included in this class is 20 minutes of Pre-primary ballet. which introduces students to the beauty of classical Beyond Ballet ballet using directional energy, while developing poise, grace, and musicality. This class also incorporates many fun and imaginative props. Dancers will develop confidence; enhance their self-esteem and master techniques that will be the foundation for disciplined learning, a lifetime asset.

Combination II (Pre-teen ages 7-12)
1hour 15minutes
Students will participate in a 1hr 15 minute class that begins with tap beginning to help develop coordination, rhythm and timing. Student will also be introduces to funky "street jam" steps and new jazz combinations using the latest, hottest jazz music. The basic dance concepts learned throughout this class build a solid foundation for further development as they begin to relate music to movement Primary Ballet is recommended to compliment this class.

InStep Dance Series 6 weeks
Dance ages 13- up
Body Conditioning
2:00-4:00pm
Strengthen your core, structure your body and heighten flexibility and circulation. This is a highly intensive class for those who are active in dancing and athletic activity. These exercises are tailored for dancers alignment and body condition. No training required.
Alternate Classes
Ballet

4:00 to 6:00pm
This class is design for mid-teen to adults who has had prior or some ballet training. Emphasis is giving to body placement and technique, vocabulary and discipline. Ballet attire is required .


1 Pre Teen Ballet 7-11 years old
1 hour class
This dance class introduces basic Ballet & Jazz concepts in a fun and creative way. Emphasis is placed upon developing counting skills, imagination, and musical awareness, working as individuals and also in groups. Beginning dance terminology, simple across the floor progressions and stretching will be introduced to the students.

Teen/Adult Jazz II
1 hour
This is an, beginner’s intermediate jazz class designed to augment basic jazz training. It will continue basic skills learned in Jazz I, including positions, turns, jumps, & leaps, as well as elements of dance conditioning. For the serious dancer, it is strongly recommended, but not required, to take a ballet class to complement jazz training.


InStep Series 18 weeks
Hip Hop 12 +

1 hour 30 min. 18 week series
This class teaches rhythm, coordination, musicality, and hip hop choreography without suggestive music/movements. Students are challenged to think on their feet while enjoying an energetic and fast-paced dance class. Our Hip Hop dancers develop focus, strength, and agility while having fun.

Dance Fun For Adults
TBA
Muve and dance along. Love to dance but not by yourself this class will give you the individual and social exercises you need for today. Learn a new choreography every week have fun burn calories.
